The Houston Press recently featured our own, Executive Chef Austin Simmons in a piece written on five of the Houston area’s youngest Executive Chefs. The oldest is 34 and the youngest two are 28, Chef Austin being one of them!
These young chefs are described by the Houston Press as “driving Houston’s culinary scene”. They tell the stories behind their lives and incorporate a rare view on the mentors that inspired their own culinary creative talents. Chef Austin being one of the youngest interviewed, gives a unique insight into his own fast paced career path and describes the beginnings of his thirst for cooking.
