Hubbell & Hudson recently partnered with the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and donated a special farm to table dinner at Cook’s Branch Conservancy.
The Cook’s Branch Conservancy is a 5,600-acre preserve in the Piney Woods of East Texas, a long-term habitat preserve that for years served as a private family gathering place for George and Cynthia Mitchell and their family. Cook’s Branch Conservancy operates as a program of the Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation, promotes conservation ethics and demonstrates the resilience of nature in perpetuity, offering a rare glimpse into what a century of regeneration looks like in the East Texas Piney Woods.
Unique to the dinner, Hubbell & Hudson’s Executive Chef Austin Simmons foraged herbs, plants and meat directly from the Conservancy, incorporating wild edibles into his dishes.
Hubbell & Hudson was honored to donate the dinner as all proceeds from the live auction benefited The Pavilion’s arts and educational programming.
